These shafts are an inexpensive way to force your team's defensive players to move their feet. The shafts are 24 inches long, sold in sets of six, and have a butt end on both sides. Players use the defensive trainer instead of their regular shaft in practice and play defense with their feet, not their stick. These are a fantastic tool for a coach who is teaching their defense never to lunge at their opponent and a wonderful tool for use in one on one drills.

The shafts are great for practices spent indoors due to weather when there is not enough room for long poles. Have the long poles put their sticks to the side, pick up a defensive trainer and play good position defense. The short sticks allow the player to hold on to a shaft and not lose arm positioning.
